Recently the 5th June was recognised as World Environment day. This was a United Nations lead day to spread the word about environmental issues that affect our planet.
Part of Otter’s ethos is firmly focussed around renewable energy and the benefits to everyone and the environment.
This World Environment Day focussed on #beatplasticpollution heres some ideas of how you can help with this world wide issue;
1; Recycle! Otter are passionate about recycling and ensure that where we use products with packaging, as much of it as possible is recycled. We have recycling bins on site that are collected by a local waste management company and we also recycle our water which is use to wash our fleet of vans.
2; Reduce your use of single-use plastics. This includes plastic bags, straws, plastic cutlery and cups for parties. Basically anything that you use once and then throw away!
3; Every time you go to a beach, pick up all the rubbish you can. Just 2 or 3 pieces or even a whole ‘bag for life’s’ worth!
