Air Source

Otter Southwest have installed Daikin air source heat pumps and new central heating into 42 sheltered housing bungalows at Stoke St Gregory, Creech St Micheal and Churchinford. The project for Taunton Deane Borough Council follows a trial installation on 4 bungalows in 2011. Taunton Deane’s tenants were so pleased with the trial the Council’s asset management team chose to invest further to complete the project on all three estates.

The bungalows were all super-insulated as part of the project and the old electric storage heaters removed. New radiators, control systems and water cylinders completed the job. Otter were chosen for the contract after a competitive tender which included a quality evaluation and detailed method statement.
