Today is World Blood Donor Day 2018, with the theme ‘Blood Connects us All’.
It is an annual event, to thank blood donors and encourage continued blood donation and new donors.
One of the aims of the day is to encourage people, who might be a bit nervous or unsure about giving blood, to feel encouraged to sign up and start donating.
It is vital donations are regular in order to keep up stocks of blood donations.
